By the time you read this we will have already departed, so here, by the miracle of video-blogging is this mornings pre-departure briefing.

ITS ALL ABOUT…

In July 2009, seven foolish 52 year olds set forth on a journey of discovery, a journey that would take them, by means of pedal power alone, from Workington to Sunderland, Coast to Coast, 133 miles of cycle path and hills, oh those hills. Inspired by the memory of their departed soulmate Chris the magnificent seven completed the journey in two and a half days, confounding themselves and the sponsors who had been convinced that they would never return to collect the spoils. In excess of £4000 was raised for Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds and for that the seven will forever be grateful to their friends and family for their donations. This blog was created to record that journey and to keep the notes and musings all in one place - and then it started to develop some more...
